Death shown me the way.
Never would I have written a sentence.
If I did not know, I'd die someday.
So I be where... they don't understand.
With the ease of the piper and the armies band.
Yes one day, I'll be gone.
My words though for them... will carry on.
This is such a powerful piece. You have a real gift for expressing deep truths in such simple, rhythmic words. I really love how you turned the fear of death into a motivation for writing, it’s a beautiful thought that while we might leave, our words will stay back as our legacy. The flow of the poem is just amazing, especially the ‘piper’ line.
Shanky knows that death has everyone’s address, but death can’t really do anything to us……..this gyan I got from the Gita itself.
